Privacy
Privacy, in plain words.
To help, Nullside has to hear your calls and see your screen. Here's exactly where that goes.
01
Kept on your Mac
- Transcripts
- Chats
- Your modes, notes and documents
02
Sent to the AI providers, to do the work
- Call audio, to Groq, for transcription
- The conversation, screenshots and the active mode's documents, to Anthropic (Claude), for answers
These go through Nullside's server on the way, which passes them on without keeping them.
03
Kept on Nullside's server
- Your account: your email address. Sign-in is handled by Clerk.
- Your plan. Payments are handled by Stripe, so we never see your card.
- Usage: how much each month and each call cost, how many answers it took, and how long it ran
- For the free try: a scrambled ID of your Mac and network, so it's one per Mac
No transcripts, screenshots, documents or answers are kept on our server.
Out of sight on screen shares
The overlay uses macOS's own window protection, so it's left out of screen sharing, recordings and screenshots.
Getting consent
Before you transcribe a call, make sure the people on it are OK with that. Recording laws differ from place to place, and getting consent is your responsibility.
